CLADDING INSTALLER

Have some construction experience?
Framing, drywall, carpentry, general labour?

Anvil Construction Ltd. is hiring Junior Cladding Installers to work on mid- and high-rise apartment buildings across the HRM. We install commercial exterior cladding systems and train the right people from the ground up.

You don’t need siding experience.
You do need to be comfortable using tools, working outdoors, and working at heights.

This job is for you if:

  • You’ve used hand and power tools on a job site
  • You can measure, cut, and assemble accurately
  • You’re comfortable working outdoors and at heights
  • You want steady work and a real career

This job is not for you if:

  • You’re afraid of heights
  • You want indoor-only or light-duty work
  • You’ve never worked in construction

Quick facts (read this first)

  • Full-time, year-round work (weather permitting)
  • Outdoor work in all conditions
  • Working at heights (fall protection provided)
  • Competitive starting wage based on experience
  • Weekend overtime paid
  • Paid safety training
  • Option to join medical benefits after 3 months
  • Clear path to advance

If this already sounds like a no — this job won’t be a good fit.
If it sounds solid — keep reading.

What this role is about

The Junior Installer role supports the installation of commercial cladding systems on large buildings. You’ll work alongside experienced installers who will train you in our systems, standards, and expectations.

This role is a strong fit for people coming from:

  • Wood framing
  • Drywall framing
  • Carpentry
  • General construction
  • Other hands-on trades

If you know how to measure, cut, assemble, and work safely on a job site, we can teach you the rest.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working 40 hours per week (weather permitting)
  • Attending daily morning meetings with your Crew Lead
  • Measuring, cutting, fastening, and installing materials
  • Using hand tools and power tools daily
  • Following drawings, layouts, and instructions
  • Working safely at heights using fall protection systems
  • Keeping work areas clean, organized, and efficient
  • Learning new systems and improving accuracy and quality
  • Contributing ideas to improve how work gets done

Safety is not optional

This job involves:

  • Outdoor work year-round
  • Working at heights
  • Active construction sites

All required safety training is paid by the company. PPE is mandatory. Hazards are reported and fixed immediately.

If safety rules feel optional to you, this is not the right place.

What we’re looking for

We’re not looking for experts — we’re looking for a solid base.

You’re a good fit if you:

  • Have some construction or trade experience
  • Are comfortable using hand tools and power tools
  • Can measure and cut accurately
  • Show up on time and ready to work
  • Take pride in clean, quality work
  • Are open to learning and feedback

Siding experience is not required.
Fall Protection and WHMIS are assets — if you don’t have them, we’ll train you.

Pay, schedule & benefits

  • Competitive starting wage (based on experience)
  • Full-time, steady work on long-term projects
  • Weekend overtime paid
  • Option to join medical benefits after 3 months
  • Paid safety training
  • Career advancement based on skill, effort, and alignment

Career growth

This role is designed to lead somewhere.

  • Junior Installer: 0–6 months
  • Level 2 Installer: 6–24 months
  • Level 1Installer: 2+ years
  • 2IC (Second-in-Command): 3+ years & demonstration of leadership abilities
  • Crew Lead: 4+ years & continued demonstration of leadership abilities
  • Senior Installer: 7+ years & demonstration of leadership abilities as well as long term alignment with company goals

We promote from within and invest in people who take the work seriously.

That means:

  • Respect for the people doing the work
  • Clear expectations and steady leadership
  • High safety standards that are enforced, not ignored
