Are you a siding carpenter in Halifax, Nova Scotia? We are hiring installers to round out our team!

Job description

Reporting to the Lead Installer, the Cladding Carpenter will work as part of a team to install various styles of cladding to existing and new buildings.

The Cladding Carpenter will work with many styles of cladding such as: 

• Ceramic/Porcelain Tile
• Aluminum Composite Panel
• Metal Panel
• Wood Lap Siding
• Phenolic Panel
• High Density Fibre Cement Panel
• Fibre Cement Lap Siding

The Cladding Carpenter will also assist from time to time in other various carpentry activities such as installing doors and windows, and structural wood framing.

Position Responsibilities:

• Installing various styles of cladding
• Installing sub-girt assemblies
• Installing insulation
• Installing building wrap
• Layout of cladding and sub-girt systems
• Installing doors and windows
• Participate in site safety

Things you will need to be able to do in order to be effective in this role:

• Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Be team work oriented
• Utilize hand, power, and pneumatic tools/machines
• Read a measuring tape
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Reading and interpreting blue prints
• Problem solve
• Strong attention to detail
• Capable of working in industrial settings (noisy, uneven surfaces, etc.)
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, and kneel frequently

Some requirements for this position include:

• Reliability, honesty, punctuality
• Valid drivers license
• Reliable transportation

Previous experience in cladding is preferred, but not necessary. Being reliable, loyal, trustworthy, dedicated, and a constant drive for self improvement is necessary.
